Established in 2002, VARANASI BUILDERS AND DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION (VBDA) started its functioning with seven visionary founding members to effectively and systematically coordinate real estate activities of Varanasi. As an extension of yet another branch of ‘Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI)’ , and designated as CREDAI, VARANASI, the scope of VBDA includes land development, planning and constructions of residential, commercial and institutional structures equipped with essential infra-structural facilities such as : roads, electricity, drainage, water supply and many more. With an aim to provide a vibrant platform to discuss, interact and produce positive ideas, the VBDA devotes its time, energy and resources to fulfill “AIMS AND OBJECTIVES” detailed in “MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION” and develop sense of united fraternity amongst its members to toil for:

  • To encourage the trade, industry and profession of construction works
  • To promote science of building and/or construction industry
  • Interaction to update information and knowledge about technical, non-technical and legal matters amongst members
  • To promote science and technology of building and/or construction industry
  • To promote excellence and high standards of operations
  • To render expert opinion on statues regulations related to real estate
  • Resolve to abide with National Real Estate Development Council, Government of India (NAREDCO) Code of Ethics
  • To organise meetings, symposia, workshops, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and publishing of important material
  • To make working rapport with sister Associations at national and international levels
  • To adopt all lawful measure to achieve above goals
  • To judiciously manage funds of the VBDA for its future expansion and development

In addition, the Association also leads different welfare drives to improve socio-economic and public activities. The financial contribution of VBDA to provide relief to earthquake victims of Nepal were highly commended by the state government. The Association acts as a catalyst to improve legal obligations to solve problems related to real estate activities. The recent verdict of the Hon’ble High Court Allahabad on November 2016 to waive off ‘Subdivision Charge, Internal Development Charge, F.A.R. Charge/City Development Charge and Purchasable F.A.R. Charges’ shall go a long way in drastically developing real estate activities of not only for Varanasi but entire region of U.P. and Uttarakhand. Members of the Association in their individual capacity help and assist district administration to manage and upgrade many cross-roads of the city as well as proper maintenance of public sector buildings. Working closely with Varanasi Development Authority, Varanasi, the VBDA has been instrumental in finalising Master Plan of Varanasi.
